Selenium is a vital mineral for human health. Although our body doesn’t need a lot of selenium, when combined with protein, it creates “selenoprotein” which is an important antioxidant enzyme. Selenoprotein helps prevent damages from free radical which is a result of our metabolic process using oxygen in human body. Free radical can cause illnesses like cancer or heart disease. Moreover, selenoprotein helps regulate hormone from thyroid glands and the immune system.

CAGE FREE EGGS

Cage free eggs are eggs produced from hens that are not being caged under animal welfare practice, have freedom in expressing natural behavior such as searching for food on the ground, perching, flapping their wings and laying eggs in the nest. All these behaviors cannot be displayed if the hens are kept in a small cage. In cage free environment, hens have better living condition, less stress and are healthier which in turns reduce the need of using antibiotics and other chemical substances in farming.

PULLET EGGS

Pullet eggs are the very first eggs laid by hens about 18-30 weeks old which is a prime age for the hen. Therefore, pullet eggs are high in vitamins, minerals and nutrients. In nature, young hens first lay small eggs and as they grow, the eggs get bigger.
